CELEBRATE NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVORS DAY ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1

There's no place like home.
JUNE 1, 2011
Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center invites cancer survivors, their families and friends to attend a National Cancer Survivors Day celebration on Wednesday, June 1 at 6:00 pm at Riverside Country Club. Survivors will be celebrated for their strength and courage along with the contributions of their families, friends and healthcare providers.

Major advances in cancer prevention, early detection and treatment have resulted in longer survival. In America alone, there are 10 million people living who have a history of cancer. Cancer survivors can live active, productive lives. This event honors the battle these survivors have fought along with the future challenges they may face.

Free and open to the public, this celebration is hosted by Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center and Cancer Support Community. For more information call 585-5070.

OFFERING ACCESS TO THE LATEST CLINICAL STUDIES.

Researchers are finding better ways to treat cancer with new drugs, new approaches to radiation and surgery, and new methods like vaccine and gene therapy. As a network member of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, patients have increased access to these clinical studies. These studies are used to prove the safety and effectiveness of new treatments -- if a new treatment approach is proven to work, those enrolled in the clinical trial are among the first to benefit.
