Annie Castillo, MD, has cared for cancer patients at Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center since 1989. Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Castillo is from San Antonio and earned her medical degree at University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston. She completed her residency in internal medicine at University of New Mexico Affiliated Hospitals in Albuquerque, where she also completed fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology.
Dr. Castillo chairs the Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Committee and helped spread the word when the Montana Breast and Cervical Health Program expanded to include colorectal cancer screening to eligible men and women in Montana. Previously, she served for 12 years as Medical Director of Hospice, until leaving that post in 2006. She is a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and of the Professional Advisory Board of the Cancer Support Community in Bozeman.
Dr. Castillo is married to Kelly Banks, MD, whom she met while training in Albuquerque. Their free time is spent enjoying music and the outdoors with the two daughters, hiking, biking, skiing, boating and watching many sports, especially basketball.
