EAT LIVE PLAY!

Eat Live Play! is a highly motivational, family centered program for children who are overweight. The Eat Live Play! Program is designed to help families and children learn new skills that foster a lifetime of healthy habits. Eat Live Play! Is a 12 week program that meets twice weekly at the YMCA. The kids exercise for 60 minutes with personal trainers then enjoy a healthy snack while receiving a short nutrition lesson or psychology discussion. There are 3 parent sessions with a registered dietician to learn the secrets of cooking and eating healthy and with a psychologist to learn how to combat the difficulties that arise with a child who is overweight. For more information call the YMCA at 406-994-9622.

WELL-CHILD CHECKS & SCREENINGS
Well-Child Checks & Screenings
Your child should have regular well-child checks. Typically, we would like to see your baby during the newborn period in the hospital and regularly through age two—at age three weeks, and then at two, four, six and nine months. Throughout their second year, we would like to see your child at 12 and 18 months. From age two and up, we hope to see your child annually. These recommendations are a general schedule, but can be modified by you and your pediatrician if there are other problems or special needs that should be addressed. We rely on the CHADIS Questionnaire, a developmental screening for children from one month to 5 1/2 years. This easy-to-use online tool looks at your child’s strengths and weaknesses, educates you—the parent—about developmental milestones and incorporates your expert knowledge about your children.
VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations
Like you, our main concern is keeping your child safe and healthy. Many parents worry about the possible side effects of vaccinations and wonder if their child really needs all of the recommended shots. Controversy and misinformation abounds, but the bottom line is that vaccines are safe and can protect your child from serious harm. You can be confident that you are making the right decision to vaccinate your child. If you have concerns, let us know. Our pediatricians will do their best to alleviate your concerns, while providing you with accurate information.
URGENT & SAME DAY CARE
Urgent & Same Day Care
When your child needs urgent attention, we will accommodate you right away. In the case of an emergency, a pediatrician is available for consultation. And, during business hours, we also have a nurse available to answer your questions over the phone when an appointment is not necessary.
SPORTS PHYSICALS
Sports Physicals
Sports physicals are a good reason to bring your child in as they grow older. This allows us to visit with them about other concerns that may be affecting them through their pre-teen and teenage years, while ensuring they’re physically capable of participating in athletics.
CHADIS ONLINE QUESTIONNAIRE
CHADIS online Questionnaire
Bozeman Deaconess Pediatrics has new tool for parents that can help pediatricians improve the diagnosis and management of their children’s health, emotional and behavioral issues. CHADIS, a developmental screening tool for children aged one month to 5 ½ years old, will assist doctors in addressing parents’ concerns about their child’s development while streamlining other routines of pediatric care. This easy-to-use online tool looks at your child’s strengths and weaknesses, educates you—the parent—about developmental milestones and incorporates your expert knowledge about your children.
