WELL-CHILD CHECKS & SCREENINGS
Your child should have regular well-child checks. Typically, we would like to see your baby during the newborn period in the hospital and regularly through age three—at age three weeks, and then at two, four, six, nine, 12, 15, 18 months and at 2 years of age and 30 months. From age three and up, we hope to see your child annually.
These recommendations are a general schedule, but can be modified by you and your pediatrician if there are other problems or special needs that should be addressed.
We rely on the CHADIS Questionnaire, a developmental screening for children from one month to 5 1/2 years. This easy-to-use online tool looks at your child’s strengths and weaknesses, educates you—the parent—about developmental milestones and incorporates your expert knowledge about your children.
