WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE WINTER BLUES

JANUARY 16, 2014
If you feel the ‘winter blues’ coming on, don’t tough it out on your own. Many people, who live in the northern latitudes, such as in Montana, suffer from a type of depression referred to as Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD).

Dr. Connie Hahn of Bozeman Deaconess Family Medicine has good news about lifestyle adjustments you can try and treatments to help manage SAD.

This presentation is free and open to the public.

REACH OUT AND READ: SUPPORTING LITERACY IN OUR COMMUNITY

Getting books from the doctor is a routine part of regular pediatric checkups at Bozeman Deaconess Pediatrics. At every regular checkup, children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years receive a new, age-appropriate book to take home and keep. Volunteers read with children in pediatric clinic waiting areas. Pediatricians and family practitioners educate parents about the importance of reading with their children every day.
