OCTOBER 22, 2012
Autumn events like Halloween and Fall Festivals are fun times to dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating and attend parties. You can have fun, and stay safe, by following these tips:
- Kids in costume need to be seen on Halloween. Apply strips of reflective tape to the front and back of your child’s costume or have them carry a glow stick or a flashlight.
- Wear well-fitting masks, costumes, and shoes to avoid blocked vision, trips and falls.
- Trick or treat with friends; enter homes only if you’re with a trusted adult.
- Eat only factory-wrapped treats. Discard homemade treats made by strangers.
Attend your hometown Halloween celebration. Many towns offer a safe environment for the whole family! Locally, on Wednesday, October 31, at 3:00 pm, on Main Street, 100 businesses in Downtown Bozeman offer a safe way to enjoy traditional trick or treating.
Follow these tips to help make the festivities fun and safe for everyone! TRICK-OR-TREAT!!
