HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS

Halloween Safety Tips
OCTOBER 22, 2012
Autumn events like Halloween and Fall Festivals are fun times to dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating and attend parties. You can have fun, and stay safe, by following these tips:
  • Kids in costume need to be seen on Halloween. Apply strips of reflective tape to the front and back of your child’s costume or have them carry a glow stick or a flashlight.
  • Wear well-fitting masks, costumes, and shoes to avoid blocked vision, trips and falls.
  • Trick or treat with friends; enter homes only if you’re with a trusted adult.
  • Eat only factory-wrapped treats. Discard homemade treats made by strangers.

Attend your hometown Halloween celebration. Many towns offer a safe environment for the whole family! Locally, on Wednesday, October 31, at 3:00 pm, on Main Street, 100 businesses in Downtown Bozeman offer a safe way to enjoy traditional trick or treating.

Follow these tips to help make the festivities fun and safe for everyone! TRICK-OR-TREAT!!

Pediatrics

REACH OUT AND READ: SUPPORTING LITERACY IN OUR COMMUNITY

Getting books from the doctor is a routine part of regular pediatric checkups at Bozeman Deaconess Pediatrics. At every regular checkup, children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years receive a new, age-appropriate book to take home and keep. Volunteers read with children in pediatric clinic waiting areas. Pediatricians and family practitioners educate parents about the importance of reading with their children every day.

PEDIATRICS

With four decades of caring for Gallatin Valley kids, no one else comes close to our experience and solid reputation. Our board certified pediatricians offer comprehensive care from birth through adolescence.

We’re up-to-date with all the latest treatment, techniques, technology and training. And, when high-level specialists can help, we’re connected with some of the best, whether locally or long distance through telemedicine consultation.

Medical Home
Medical Home is a team-led, patient-centered approach to health care, where the patient is the most important player on their healthcare team. The patient and the medical home team develop a plan of care created specifically for the patient, focuses on wellness and prevention, keeps the patient connected with the health care team and coordinates care with other health care providers.

Bozeman Deaconess Health Group clinics are the first in the State of Montana to earn Level III Medical Home Recognition
