MONTANA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS AWARD

MARCH 25, 2014
The Montana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently was selected as the winner of the AAP 2014 Outstanding Small Chapter Award at the annual meeting in Chicago.

“This is a really great accomplishment for our chapter,” said vice president of MT AAP Pepper Henyon, MD, of Bozeman Deaconess Pediatrics. “This national recognition validates the great work we are doing around the state. Over the last few years the chapter has made great strides in working with the approximately 100 pediatricians across the state to develop programs which help them deliver excellent care to their patients as well as improve the health of children in Montana.”

The MT APP’s efforts have focused on improving the numbers of children who are vaccinated, providing education to health care providers on child abuse, developing regional child abuse response teams across the state and advocating at the state legislature for laws that improve the health and safety for Montana children.

The nomination was based on the chapter’s excellence in:
• Strategic Priorities
• Activities (influencing education and participation of other health related organizations in advocacy efforts for children)
• Finances
• Membership Retention & Recruitment
• Governance & Development of chapter leadership

Audiology

NOT ALL HEARING AIDS ARE THE SAME.

Our certified audiologists will find the hearing aid that's the best fit for you and fully customized to you. And as your hearing changes, we'll provide adjustments to ensure your hearing aid is always operating at the optimum level.

AUDIOLOGY

Hearing loss isolates one from family and loved ones. Our diagnostic equipment and extensive selection of hearing aids can help with your hearing problems.

Hearing loss can occur gradually over time and you may not even be aware of the problem. Family members often notice the following signs of deteriorating hearing:

The TV is on too loud
You find conversation difficult to understand
You frequently ask others to repeat themselves
You’re missing the punch line of the joke

If these situations are familiar, it may be time for a hearing evaluation at Bozeman Deaconess Audiology.

Certified audiologist Trang Rogers, AuD provides diagnostic hearing screening and an extensive selection of hearing aids. Dr. Rogers, who has practiced audiology since 1994, received a master’s in Audiology at Illinois State University and a doctorate of Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is licensed by the State of Montana Board of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and the Board of Hearing Aid Dispensers.

In addition to helping you find a hearing aid that best fits your needs, Bozeman Deaconess Audiology offers convenient follow up appointments to assess hearing programs and hearing aid functions. For more information call Bozeman Deaconess Audiology at 587-5000.
